Trained in Graphic Design, 3D and Motion Design, designer Danae Calpe creates works that resist the normal classification of conventional designs. She lives and works in Berlin. She started her career alongside Alexander McQueen disciple Jose Castro at Desigual, overseeing the house’s costume handcrafted accessories for 12 years.
During the past two years she make her own jewellery collection, she mixes elements and possibilities and also introduces new forms. Each of the techniques used tells a story, which for her represents the highest expression of contemporary and feminity. 

In her practice, forms, textures and objects are collected and place in relation to one another to create a unique piece. Assembled together, these fragments of everyday life frame critical inquiries into our present time.
